Appointment setting for a detailing business
Retail detailing is one customer at a time. The accounts that smooth out a slow week are commercial: used car lots, franchise dealers with reconditioning overflow, body shops delivering cars back to owners, fleet vans, rental branches and property managers with company vehicles.
That work pays less per vehicle, often $85 to $150 for a lot detail, and it repeats every week with no marketing attached. The mistake owners make is quoting retail prices to a used car manager, hearing no, and deciding commercial does not work in their market.
The dialing math is steady. Roughly 200 to 300 connected calls produces three to five appointments, and about one in three of those appointments turns into a trial vehicle. It is a volume activity, which is exactly why owners never get to it.
Two weeks of consistent calling should put four to eight appointments on your calendar and show which segment in your market answers.
